Temporal lift

Temporal lift

What is it?

Temporal lift is a surgical procedure aimed at lifting tissues in the temporal area to rejuvenate the upper third of the face.

It helps to lift the outer parts of the eyebrows, smooth out wrinkles around the eyes (“crow’s feet”), and create a more open and refreshed appearance.

Who is suitable for a temporal lift?

People with drooping outer parts of the eyebrows.
Patients with wrinkles in the temple area and “crow’s feet.”
Those who want a fresher and more open eye appearance.
Patients with initial or moderate age-related changes (30–50 years).

What are the advantages of temporal lift?

Minimal invasiveness: smaller incisions and faster healing.
Natural effect: the lift looks natural.
Short recovery period: patients usually return to work within 1–2 weeks.
Long-lasting result: the effect lasts up to 5–7 years.

What are the stages of performing a temporal lift?

01 Health assessment

Consultation with a surgeon and anesthesiologist, as well as laboratory and other examinations.

02 Surgical correction

Anesthesia - the surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia with a mild sedative effect. In some cases, general anesthesia is used.

Incisions - small incisions are made in the hairline in the temple area (usually 2-3 cm). They are hidden under the hair, so scars are almost invisible after healing.

Tissue correction - the surgeon separates the skin and soft tissues, pulls them in the desired direction, and fixes the muscles and skin to create tension. Excess skin is removed if necessary.

Fixation - the tissues are secured in the new position using internal sutures or special fixation materials.

Incision closure - incisions are closed with cosmetic sutures that ensure minimal scarring.

Are there any contraindications to temporal lift?

The procedure is not performed if you have chronic diseases that cannot be stabilized: heart failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure, blood clotting disorders, severe diabetes, autoimmune diseases.

It is also recommended to postpone the procedure if you have acute infectious diseases, skin conditions in the acute stage, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What is the recovery process after a temporal lift?

01 First days

Swelling and bruising in the temple area and around the eyes.

Mild numbness or discomfort may occur.

02 Recommendations

Avoid physical exertion for 2–4 weeks.

Sleep with your head elevated to reduce swelling.

Protect scars from sunlight.

03 Results

Initial improvements are noticeable within 1–2 weeks, and the final effect appears in 1–3 months.
